Rapist began attacking girls when he was 14-years-old
Graham Logue jailed for eight years for sex attacks on girls as young as six.
A man raped a schoolgirl and sexually abused another young girl more than 35 years ago .
Graham Logue, 55, was jailed for eight years on Friday at the High Court in Glasgow.
Logue, from Hamilton, raped a girl when she was aged between nine and 13.
He also sexually abused another girl when she was aged between six and 10.
The offences were committed between October 1977 and June 1984 at a house in Rutherglen.
Logue was placed on the sex offenders' register.
Judge Norman Ritchie QC told him: "In many ways you have led a productive life, however by your abuse of the two complainers you have damaged them both emotionally and one complainer has suffered physically.
"They have terrible memories of what you did, and through their courage you have been brought to justice.
"You were a child of 14 when you began the abuse, but you continued sexually offending until you were 20."
Defence counsel Allan MacLeod told the court that Logue continues to deny the rape and sexual abuse.
Mr MacLeod added: "He maintains his position of innocence and his partner is standing by him."
The court heard that Logue has a number of convictions, but none for sexual matters.
He showed no emotion as he was led away to begin his sentence.
