Armed police search flat after 'gun spotted' in street
Officers currently searching property in Maryhill, Glasgow, after call-out at 8.30am.
Armed police are searching a flat in Glasgow after a gun was spotted.
Police were called to Glenavon Road, Maryhill, on Monday morning around 8.30am.
It came after a report that a firearm was seen in the street.
They said no shots had been fired and that no-one was injured.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed officers are at the scene.
She stated: "At around 8.30am, police received a report of a firearm being seen in Glenavon Road.
"Officers are currently in attendance and are searching a property.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"No firearm has been discharged."
