Glasgow is getting into the festive spirit with the arrival of an annual Christmas market.

St Enoch Square's Christmas Market opened last Friday and will run right through the season until Sunday, December 23.

The area has been transformed into a winter wonderland with 50 seasonal chalets offering tasty street food, sweets and personalised gifts.

Those looking for a glass of festive cheer will be able to put their order in at one of the two German bars.

A giant windmill also lights up at night, adding to the warm atmosphere.

A second Christmas Market at George Square in the city will come alive on Sunday, November 23 and will run right up until Hogmanay.

As well as 50 traders from across the globe selling artisan products and high quality crafts, there will also be a vintage helter skelter and carousel, a German bar and a stunning 15m Christmas tree.
