A man has been arrested after £270,000 worth of drugs were seized from a flat in Glasgow.

Police raided the property on Cults Street in Govan at around 4.30pm on Thursday and recovered approximately 27kg of what's thought to be amphetamine.

A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.

Detective Inspector Steven Elliott said: "This is one of many seizures we have made, resulting in harmful drugs being removed from our streets.

"We'll continue to go after those involved in criminal activity, particularly those involved in illegal drugs.

"Our aim is to detect them and disrupt their activities causing them as much hassle as possible."
