A second man has been arrested after an alleged murder bid shooting at a Glasgow flat.

A 42-year-old man was left fighting for life after he was said to have been gunned down by two masked men on Wellshot Road, Shettleston, on October 13.

The suspects then allegedly fled the scene in a small dark car that was parked outside.

Detectives later uncovered a burnt-out vehicle less than three miles away.

A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident last week.

Officers have now confirmed a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and is due before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

"A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
