CCTV images have been released of two people police are looking to speak to in connection with an assault that left a man seriously injured.

The 26-year-old victim was left with a serious facial injury after the attack that took place on West Campbell Street in Glasgow City centre at around 3am on Sunday, September 30.

Police officers investigating the attack are now keen to trace the two men pictured as they bid to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

The first man is described as wearing a dark coloured bubble jacket while the second was wearing a grey jacket with fur on the hood and dark coloured jeans with rips at the knees.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Anyone who recognises the descriptions or the men in the images is asked to call officers at Stewart Street CID via telephone number 101"
