Two police officers were injured during an alleged car chase with a "stolen" Porsche in Glasgow.

The male officers were involved in a crash after their marked Audi collided with the vehicle on Fulton Street at around 12.10am on Thursday.

Both men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where they were released after treatment.

The occupants of the Porsche Macan were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The car was allegedly stolen after a woman was said to have been threatened in Hyndland at around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

A police helicopter was called out in the search for the vehicle.

Officers confirmed that a 26-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: "As is normal procedure, this matter will be referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner."
