A lorry burst into flames on a motorway, causing rush-hour traffic delays in Lanarkshire.
Thick smoke filled the air as the car transporter caught fire on the M74 northbound near Junction 8 at around 8am on Wednesday.
The road was closed as emergency services dealt the incident and diversions were in place.
Motorists were being advised to take an alternative route.
