Police are growing increasingly concerned for a teenage girl who has been missing for 11 days.

Chloe Campbell, from Kilbirnie, was last seen in Glasgow at around 2.30pm on Thursday, February 21.

However, the 17-year-old had still been in contact with friends until the following Monday when she was reported missing to police.

Officers in Ayrshire are appealing for information into disappearance and say they are concerned for her welfare.

Enquiries suggest that Chloe travelled to the Loughborough area after boarding a train from Glasgow Central Station.

When last seen she was wearing a pink hooded top with 'CAMPUS' white lettering on the front, black leggings and black training shoes. She was also carrying a pink flowery rucksack.

Sergeant Douglas Clark said: "It has now been a week since Chloe has been in touch with anyone and therefore we are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing.

"We believe she has travelled to the Loughborough area and therefore we are working with British Transport Police and other partners to try and trace her.

"Do you remember seeing her on a train heading south, or in Glasgow Central?

"I'd like to speak to anyone who has seen her or anyone who knows of her present whereabouts to contact police at Irvine via 101.

"I'd also like to appeal to Chloe directly to contact either police or family to let us know that she is safe."
