A man is to stand trial charged with shooting two men in Glasgow.

Michael Fratti is accused of trying to kill Robert McCann and Brian McGloin last year.

It is claimed the 24-year-old was acting with an unknown person when he attacked Mr McCann in Glasgow's Shettleston on September 18.

The 38-year-old victim was said to have been shot in the head within a flat in Cuthelton Terrace.

Fratti again allegedly teamed up with someone else to attack Mr McGloin in Wellshot Road, Shettleston, on October 13.

Prosecutors state the 42-year-old was shot on the body as well as being struck with a knife.

A handgun was allegedly used in both incidents.

Fratti is further accused of assaulting two other men at the same flat where Mr McGloin was shot.

On Wednesday, Fratti's QC John Scullion pleaded not guilty on his behalf during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.

Lady Stacey set a trial for July.
