Tributes have been paid to a Scottish man who was killed on a stag do in Benidorm.

Jim Clark, from Hawick in the Borders, died during a fight on the Costa Blanca at 3.15am on Friday.

Police are hunting two men believed to have been involved in the incident.

The 32-year-old has been described as a "lovely lad" by friends following his death.

His family have now been informed by Police Scotland.

A post on social media said: "Last Sunday when I went into stampers he was so excited to be going away for stag do.

"Gutted and devastated for all the family."

Another added: "Such a lovely lad taken too soon."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police in the Scottish Borders notified the family of a 32-year-old Hawick man that he had passed away while within Benidorm on Friday.

"This death is being investigated by the authorities in Spain, in conjunction with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, however, Police Scotland will continue to provide the man's family with all the necessary support and assistance they require."
