Nearly £400,000 worth of cannabis was found when police raided a flat in Glasgow.

The drug was discovered in Fountainwell Drive, Sighthill, during the search on Tuesday.

Police said the haul had an estimated street value of £386,000.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the discovery and is due to appear in court.

Detective inspector Steven Elliot, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: "This substantial recovery shows our commitment to disrupting drug activity and supply.

"This is a key priority for police and we will continue to actively target those who seek to supply drugs in our community.

"I would encourage anyone to report criminal activity in their area by contacting police through 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
