A mum has been sexually assaulted by a man while taking her son for a walk in Glasgow.

The 22-year-old was pushing a pram along Corselet Road, Nitshill, at around 3pm on Wednesday when she was grabbed by a hooded man, causing her to stumble.

The attacker, described as having an Asian appearance with a local accent, also made inappropriate sexual remarks to the victim.

The woman managed to get away from the man and ran towards the lane leading to Langford Drive.

Detective inspector Mark McLennan said: "Although thankfully not physically injured, this was very distressing for the lady involved and particularly frightening as she was with her young son at the time.

"Officers are currently speaking to residents in the area and checking CCTV in an effort the trace this man. Corselet Road is residential and it's possible that someone may have either seen or heard the attack take place.

"If you think you might have information that will assist our enquiry, then please contact officers at Helen Street Police Station via 101."
