The death of a man whose body was found in the grounds of a Glasgow primary school is not suspicious, police have said.

Andrew McEwan was found dead within the grounds of the Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School near Tarfside Gardens in Cardonald at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.

Officers investigating the 35-year-old's death have now confirmed that is being treated as non-suspicious.

Detective Inspector Peter Sharp, Govan Police Office, said: "Following a post mortem examination we can now say that the death of Mr McEwan, who lived in Highfield Place in the Kelvindale area of Glasgow, is not being treated as suspicious.

"However we would still ask anyone who may have seen him in the days leading up to his death, and has not already spoken to us, to get in touch.

"Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police via 101."
