A man has been stabbed in broad daylight on a street in Glasgow.

The 41-year-old was found on Heathcot Avenue, Drumchapel, at around 11.20am on Wednesday.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

Police investigating the incident are now appealing for information.

They are particularly looking to speak to anyone who was driving on Great Western Road and could potentially have dash cam footage of the attack.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "A 41-year-old was found seriously injured in Drumchapel at around 11.20am on Wednesday.

"Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101."
