A man has been stabbed outside a Glasgow nightclub in a "random and unprovoked" attack.

The 20-year-old was outside Kokomo on West Regent Street when he was assaulted by two men at around 3.20am on Friday.

At least one of the suspects made off in a grey Mercedes.

Emergency services attended and the injured man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Medical staff have described his condition as stable.

Detective Sergeant Donna McDougall, from Stewart Street CID, said: "This appears to have been a random and unprovoked attack and it is vital that we trace the individuals involved.

"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or anything at all suspicious, to get in touch.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Stewart Street CID via 101."
