Police have sealed off part of Glasgow Central Station after a man's body was found.

The discovery was made on Argyle Street at around 10.20am on Easter Monday.

The train station's exit leading on to the street has been closed down to the public.

Officers confirmed they are currently treating the death as unexplained.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 10.20am officers were called following the discovery of a man's body on Argyle Street.

"A post-mortem will be carried out in due course.

"Officers are currently treating the death as unexplained."
