A former community hall has gone up in flames in Glasgow.

The blaze happened at the old Labour Hall on Mosspark Drive in Cardonald shortly after 4pm on Tuesday.

Around 15 firefighters are tackling the flames.

Plumes of smoke can be seen for miles while the incident is being dealt with.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "It's a single-storey building made out of timber which has gone on fire.

"We currently have three appliances at the scene."
