Family notified after pensioner's body recovered from canal
Emergency services were called to Crinan Canal on Friday afternoon.
The body of a 74-year-old man was recovered from a canal in Argyll and Bute.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Crinan Canal, near to Oakfield Bridge - known locally as Miller's Bridge, on Friday afternoon.
The pensioner was later identified and his family have been informed.
Police confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A force spokeswoman said: "Around 12pm on Friday, May 17, the body of a 74 year-old man was found in the Crinan Canal, near to Oakfield Bridge, at the Corran Roundabout just off the A83, Argyll.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
