Body pulled from river as police investigate 'unexplained' death
Police have launched an investigation after the discovery of a man's body in Kilmarnock Water near the town's London Road.
A body has been pulled from a river by police near Kilmarnock town centre.
Officers attended the scene near London Road in the Ayrshire town at around 11.50am on Saturday where they discovered the body of a male in the water.
The man’s body was recovered and an investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
The area has been cordoned off and officers remained at the scene throughout Saturday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
