Craig Gordon, who won his 50th cap against Slovakia, retains his spot in goals.
Versatile defender Keiran Tierney has been moved into the centre of defence alongside Christophe Berra, with Jack and Andy Robertson either side.
Dons midfielder Kenny McLean, who has one previous cap, joins Hibs' John McGinn in the middle of the park for the Pittodrie contest after Stuart Armstrong picked up a late injury.
Christie starts alongside Celtic duo McGregor and James Forrest in behind West Brom winger Matt Phillips, who deputises through the middle in Leigh Griffiths' absence.
