St Johnstone complete signing of forward Tony Watt
The former Celtic and Hearts attacker has penned a one-year deal with the Saints.
St Johnstone have completed the signing of forward Tony Watt on a one-year deal.
The former Celtic and Hearts attacker had been without a club since leaving Belgian outfit OV Louven in February but will now return to action in Scotland with the Saints.
His last competitive match came for Charlton Athletic 11 months ago.
Watt shot to stardom in 2012 when as an 18-year-old he scored the winner for Celtic against Barcelona in the Champions League.
But he departed Parkhead two years later for his first stint in Belgium with Lierse, before switching to Standard Liege.
The attacker would return to the UK in 2015 when he signed for Charlton, but injuries disrupted his time with the Addicks.
Watt enjoyed loan spells at Cardiff, Blackburn and Hearts as he sought regular first-team football, before returning to Belgium at the start of last season.
His move would quickly turn sour, however, as Louven sacked Dennis Van Wijk, with his replacement in the dugout Nigel Pearson opting against fielding the 24-year-old.
