Aberdeen, Hibs and Kilmarnock picked up wins, while Livi held Motherwell.
Aberdeen 4-1 St Mirren
Aberdeen cruised to a comprehensive victory over St Mirren at Pittodrie.
Sam Cosgrove scored twice on the day. The striker opened the scoring after 25 minutes with a diving header from Shay Logan's tempting cross.
Teenager Connor McLennan made his first Dons start one to remember, drilling an effort into the top corner on the half-hour mark to double the advantage.
Max Lowe made it three before the break, scoring his first senior goal after finishing when the ball broke his way in the box.
Cosgrove added a fourth midway through the second half by driving an effort under Craig Samson from Lowe's cutback.
Oran Kearney's recent recruit Simeon Jackson score a late consolation for the Buddies.
Dundee 1-2 Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock made it three wins in a row by coming from behind to beat Dundee at Dens Park.
Adil Nabi edged Neil McCann's men into an early lead, capitalising after Killie failed to clear a cross.
Steve Clarke's men drew level before the break courtesy of a looping deflected effort from winger Jordan Jones.
And the turnaround was completed when Eamonn Brophy fired a spot kick, which was controversially awarded, past Elliot Parish.
Killie were awarded a second penalty on the day, but Greg Stewart failed to convert.
Hibs 6-0 Hamilton
Hibs trounced Hamilton 6-0 at Easter Road.
Martin Boyle opened the scoring for Neil Lennon's men on 25 minutes, firing home from close range.
It was two soon after. Stevie Mallan grabbed his first of the afternoon when his curling effort deflected in to double the lead.
Emerson Hyndman's first Hibs goal, a cool side-footed finish, made it three and put the result beyond doubt before half-time.
After the break Lennon's side continued to dominate. Mallan scored his second from range, before Flo Kamberi added a fifth in the 90th minute.
There was still time for one more as Accies' heads dropped, an own goal finishing off a miserable trip to Edinburgh for Martin Canning's men.
Motherwell 1-1 Livingston
Ten-man Motherwell and Livingston played out a 1-1 draw at Fir Park.
The Steelmen went in-front on 17 minutes when Ryan Bowman's deflected effort deceived Lions keeper Liam Kelly.
But in-form Livi fought back to equalise. Keaghan Jacobs stepped up to smash a stunning free-kick into the top corner.
Two bookings in quick succession saw Carl McHugh given his marching orders, with neither side able to find a late winner.
