Forrest scores four as Celtic thrash St Johnstone
James Forrest was key as Brendan Rodgers' men rediscored their goalscoring touch.
James Forrest scored four first-half goals as Celtic thrashed St Johnstone 6-0.
Brendan Rodgers' side have struggled to break down opposition defences in recent weeks but they rediscovered their goalscoring touch in style in Perth.
Scottish winger Forrest pounced on the rebound from an Odsonne Edouard effort on 15 minutes to grab his first, before Edouard himself doubled the lead seven minutes later.
Forrest made it three by slotting home from a Tom Rogic through ball, and ensured the match ball was his with another cool finish from a Rogic pass.
A fourth Forrest goal before the break left a shell shocked Saints side five down at the interval, and it got worse when Danny Swanson saw red for a poor challenge on the flying Celtic winger.
Callum McGregor added a sixth after the break as Rodgers' men cruised to victory.
