Peter Enckelman leaves Hearts after expiration of his contract
The former Finland international has left Tynecastle after the end of his short-term contract.
Peter Enckelman has left Hearts after the expiry of his short term deal at the club.
The 35-year-old, who has 12 caps for his country, signed a six month deal with the club in August 2012, making one substitute appearance.
The former Aston Villa and St Johnstone goalkeeper came on as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Celtic in October 2012.
Having started his career with TPS in his homeland, Enckelman moved to Aston Villa in 1999, staying there for five years before spending four seasons at Blackburn.
After two years at Cardiff he signed for St Johnstone, and was a virtual ever-present during the two seasons he spent in Perth, helping his team to European football.
A statement on the Hearts website read: "The club would like to thank Peter for his efforts during his short spell here in Gorgie, and wish him all the best for the future."
