Craig Beattie's St Johnstone contract is terminated by mutual consent
The former Celtic striker is free to find new employers after tearing up his contract.
Craig Beattie has been released by St Johnstone after making just four appearances for the team.
The 29-year-old striker joined the Perth men under freedom of contract in August, managing just 40 minutes of football.
But a series of injuries and illness put paid to his top team chances at McDiarmid Park.
In a short statement, a spokesman for St Johnstone said: “The contract between St Johnstone FC and Craig Beattie has been terminated by mutual consent.
"The club wishes Craig every future success.”
Beattie has recently been on trial with Notts County in England.
After a week training with the Magpies, boss Keith Curle said he was not impressed with the ex-Hearts and Celtic man’s fitness but would like another look.
Curle said earlier this week: “Beattie's not at the level of fitness where I was ready to offer him a loan deal.
“I told him he needs to go and get some games and get back to where he was before.
“I know what he was like a few years ago. He's lost a little bit of confidence because of his injury and he needs to get that back again.”
