Aberdeen could lose Isaac Osbourne for the season after hamstring tear
The Dons are hopeful of the player making a return from injury at some point after the SPL split.
Aberdeen could be without Isaac Osbourne for the rest of the season, after the Englishman suffered a hamstring tear.
The 26-year-old was forced off during his side's 1-0 win over Dundee last Friday, with scans showing the extent of the injury.
The club say they are hopeful of Osbourne featuring again this season after the SPL split, but are not wanting to put any additional pressure on the midfielder to make an early return.
"To lose Isaac again last Saturday to another injury is a huge disappointment for the squad," Dons boss Craig Brown told the club's official website.
"Having just returned to the team in recent weeks, he had made a positive impact on our performances and he will be sadly missed.
"Isaac is a consummate professional and he will work extremely hard to ensure his rehabilitation from this injury is swift."
