Goalkeeper Jason Brown leaves Aberdeen to continue career in England
The Welshman failed to establish himself as the Dons' number one keeper over Jamie Langfield.
Jason Brown has left Aberdeen by mutual consent, the club have confirmed.
The Welsh international goalkeeper has departed Pittodrie after failing to win a regular starting berth over Jamie Langfield.
Brown made just two appearances this campaign, having joined Craig Brown's side in the summer of 2011.
Aberdeen chief executive Duncan Fraser said of his departure: "Jason made it clear to us he was keen to return to England and continue his career.
"He is a proud member of the Welsh International team and in order to maintain his place in the squad he feels it is vital for him to be playing every week.
"The club wish Jason all the best with his future career."
Brown made 28 appearances for the Dons during his spell at the club.
