Celtic agree deal with Manchester City for Patrick Roberts loan
Scottish champions are poised to complete an 18-month deal for the teenager.
Celtic have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Patrick Roberts on an 18-month loan.
The 18-year-old joined City from Championship side Fulham for a fee in the region of £11m last summer and will become the club’s second signing of the winter window.
The player is expected to travel to Scotland to complete a medical this weekend.
Roberts would be the fourth player to join the Scottish champions from Celtic during the Ronny Deila era following Jason Denayer, John Guidetti and Dedryck Boyata.
The wide forward has represented England at various youth levels from U16 to U19 level.
Defender Erik Sviatchenko joined the club from Danish side FC Midtjylland last week as Deila aims to secure a domestic treble this term.
Celtic face Ross County on Sunday in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden.
