Manchester City's Patrick Roberts: I'm joining a great club in Celtic
Roberts is in Glasgow to finalise an 18-month loan deal with Celtic.
Patrick Roberts has said that he is joining a "massive club" as he prepares to begin a loan spell with Celtic.
The Manchester City attacker is in Glasgow to finalise an 18-month loan spell with the Scottish champions and spoke positively about the move on Monday morning.
The 18-year old is highly rated by English giants City and he is hoping that his time in Scotland can help provide a springboard to first team football when he returns to his parent club in 2017.
"It's a massive club," Roberts said. "Everyone knows Celtic around the world.
"I'll be building experience to take back to Manchester City."
The 18-year-old joined City from Championship side Fulham for a fee in the region of £11m last summer and will become the club’s second signing of the winter window.
Roberts would be the fourth player to join the Scottish champions from Celtic during the Ronny Deila era following Jason Denayer, John Guidetti and Dedryck Boyata.
The wide forward has represented England at various youth levels from U16 to U19 level.
