Who are the dangermen from the Helsingborg side to face Celtic?

Ahead of Celtic's match with Helsingborg in Sweden, we look at the players who will pose the biggest threat to Neil Lennon's side.

While Celtic will have been pleased to avoid some of the heavier hitters in their quest for a place at Europe's top table, there is an unknown quantity to Helsingborg that makes them very dangerous opponents.

The Swedes completed a domestic treble last season, and dismantled Slask Wroclaw in the second round of qualifying, earning the right to face Celtic.

So, just who are the individuals that pose the biggest threat to Celtic's chances of progression to the Champions League group stages?

Erik Edman

The 33-year-old left-back is probably best known in the UK from his his season at Tottenham Hotspur, but the 57-times capped defender has had a nomadic career all over Europe. Edman spent time in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, France and England, as well as time in his homeland.

Edman was part of Sweden's squads for the 2002 and 2006 World Cup tournaments, and the 2004 European Championships.

Daniel Nordmark

The 24-year-old central midfielder joined Helsingborg from Elfsborg at the end of 2011, and has developed a knack of scoring important goals. Nordmark scored during the defeat of 3-0 defeat of Slask Wroclaw and has already registered four goals from midfield this season.

Alejandro Bedoya

Although Scottish supporters didn't get to see too much of the American during his brief stint at Ibrox, his return to Sweden showed exactly what he can do. Bedoya scored an overhead kick on his debut.

Although nominally an attacking midfield player, Bedoya could be used as a striker against Celtic, having played in the role at the weekend.

May Mahlangu

The South African-born midfielder was voted player of the season during the triumphant 2011 treble-winning season, attracting interest from Ajax, Feyenoord and clubs in Germany. Mahlangu played his first match for the South Africans against Equatorial Guinea in January 2012.

Par Hansson

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has been capped twice for his country, and is a regular feature in the Sweden squad, travelling as part of the 23-man party to the Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Hansson made his debut for his country against Botswana in 2011 and played all 30 matches of the title winning 2011 season as part of the best defence in the division. Hansson is now club captain.

Thomas Sorum

Although the Norwegian striker has been unable to match his prolific strike-rate from his time in his homeland while at Helsingborg, the 29-year-old scored a hat-trick to help the Swedes beat Slask Wroclaw in the second round, and also got on the scoresheet against The New Saints in the round previous.

Alvaro Santos

The Brazilian striker is in his second spell at Helsingborg, after spells around Europe at Copenhagen, Sochaux and Strasbourg. At 32 years old, his powers may not be what they once were, but you just don't underestimate Brazilian strikers.
