Celtic’s Europa League squad confirmed: John Guidetti not included
The Scottish champions 25-man squad for the group stage is now confirmed.
Celtic’s squad list for the Europa League group stage has been confirmed by UEFA and new signing John Guidetti is not a registered player.
The Swedish Under-21 player signed for Celtic on Thursday when FIFA approved his loan move from Manchester City despite paperwork having missed the September 1 transfer deadline.
However, clubs in the Europa League were required to submit their squad for the competition on Tuesday and Celtic’s list does not include Guidetti, meaning they cannot register him for the competition until the knock-out rounds.
Celtic have been drawn against Astra, Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb in the group stage of the competition, having been knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers last month.
Manager Ronny Deila’s new signings Jo Inge Berget, Mubarak Wakaso, Aleksandar Tonev and Stefan Scepovic have all been included in his 24-man squad.
