Elgin boss felt team gave a good account of themselves in Ibrox defeat
Ross Jack was proud of the way his team performed in the 3-0 defeat.
Ross Jack expressed his pride in his Elgin City side despite a 3-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Rangers.
Goals from Dean Shiels, Kevin Kyle and Kal Naismith handed the Ibrox side a place in the fifth round of the competition.
Elgin’s best chances fell to Stuart Leslie but he couldn’t beat home goalkeeper Neil Alexander.
Speaking after a tough week for the club, Jack said: "If the boys can't get built up for a game like this, then there's something wrong.
"They really were up for it and the motivation all week has been fantastic.
"We can't influence things that have gone on in the past but we could influence the game today and we contributed to a very good game.
"I'm very proud of the way we played. I'm obviously not happy we got beat 3-0 but I thought we gave a good account ourselves."
