Path to League Cup final shows Hibernian's quality says Alan Stubbs
The Championship club claimed a 2-1 win over St Johnstone in the competition's semi-finals.
Alan Stubbs believes Hibernian's route to the League Cup final shows the quality they have.
The Championship club saw off St Johnstone 2-1 in Saturday's semi-final at Tynecastle, with John McGinn scoring a 74th minute winner.
The Tynecastle triumph followed wins over Aberdeen and Dundee United in earlier rounds and Stubbs was delighted to see his team set up a final against Celtic or Ross County on March 13.
"I'm more delighted for the players and fans more than me personally," the Hibs head coach said. "It's great to be able to reward them with a trip to Hampden.
"I thought it was a really good game, a close game, and we managed just to edge it in the end.
"From one to 11 we were good. All the players did their jobs and stood up to be counted. Even when they got the equaliser, I thought we were positive and looked like we were going to create things.
"That's us beating three Premiership teams to reach the final, so that underlines the quality we've got in the team."
