Inverness CT suspend striker Dani Lopez after red card in U20s game
The Spaniard was dismissed after scoring the only goal of the game at home to St Johnstone.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have suspended striker Dani Lopez following an incident in Tuesday evening's Under-20 match against St Johnstone.
The Spanish striker, who scored the only goal of the game, was sent off in the 1-0 win.
Lopez has one goal to his name this season for the senior side, netting in the 4-2 defeat to Celtic at Parkhead in August.
The club have suspended the player until further notice pending a full investigation. In a statement on their official website, Inverness said they will be making no further comment until the investigation is concluded.
Lopez joined Caley Thistle from Spanish club La Roda this summer on a one-year deal after a successful trial in the Highlands.
The 29-year-old started his career at Atletico Madrid where he went on to play for their B and C sides. He moved to England in 2012 when he signed for Stevenage.
