Inverness loan Wolves striker Sam Winnall
The 21-year-old goes straight into the squad for the weekend SPL tie with St Mirren.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed Sam Winnall on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 21-year-old striker has joined for the remainder of the season and goes straight into the squad for the weekend’s SPL tie with St Mirren.
Winnall has made one first team appearance for Wolves, featuring in a Carling Cup game against Southend United last season.
"Sam's got terrific ability and is a proven finisher and we're delighted that he's agreed to join us," manager Terry Butcher told Inverness’ official website.
"He gives us another option going forward and he can also play midfield.
"Wolves boss Mick McCarthy told me he was extremely pleased with the benefits David Davis gained from his spell with us.
"He felt David had gone away a boy and returned a man, as regular SPL action had developed him physically and improved his match awareness."
He spent the first half of the season with Hereford United, scoring twice in nine appearances.
Winnall also had a loan spell with Burton Albion in early 2011, netting seven times in 19 games.
