Kilmarnock boost attacking options with Kris Boyd and William Gros
The duo have agreed deals to remain with the Ayrshire outfit on the eve of the new season.
Kilmarnock manager Allan Johnston has received a double boost on the eve of the new season after agreeing deals for Kris Boyd and William Gros.
The duo have been training with the club during pre-season having been part of Kenny Shiels' squad last term.
Boyd has agreed a one year deal while Gros has committed his future to the Ayrshire club for the next three seasons.
Both players signed their contracts on Thursday with boss Johnston telling STV: "They are both going to be big players for us and it is a big boost to sign players of their quality.
"We are delighted to get someone with Kris' goal scoring ability to stay here."
A statement from the club said: "We are delighted to confirm that Scotland international striker Kris Boyd has signed a one year deal with the club. We are also delighted to confirm that William Gros has signed a new three year deal with the club."
Boyd scored three goals in eight league matches after returning to Scotland at the end of last season while Gros found the net once in 20 appearances in 2012/13.
Meanwhile Levadia Tallinn striker Artur Rattel starts his trial with the Rugby Park side this morning.
The 20-year-old, who has represented Estonia at Under-21 level, arrived in Scotland on Wednesday and will spend the next two days training with Allan Johnston's squad.
