Motherwell striker Henrik Ojamaa believes the fruits of his strike partnership with Michael Higdon this season highlight the attacking talents of the whole team.

Higdon is joint top-scorer in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with 19 goals, alongside Inverness forward Billy McKay and Leigh Griffiths of Hibernian, who visit Fir Park.

Ojamaa only has two goals this season but he is joint top of the SPL assists table with 12, a position he shares with Caley Thistle winger Aaron Doran.

Ojamaa said: "It speaks volumes for the team and our attacking performance when Higgy is top goalscorer and me and Doran are top assists.

"That shows how good we are going forward and how well we have done this season. It's a credit to all of us.

"Michael has had a great year. It's a great fit with Michael.

"I think his first-time finishing is definitely the best I have ever played with.

"With the flair players we have around him such as myself, Nicky Law, Chris Humphrey, we had Murph (Jamie Murphy) before and now we have Faddy (James McFadden), Kallum Higginbotham, everybody can really complement him and create chances for him and he is just great at putting them away.

"We are very lucky to have him and he has had a great goalscoring season."

Victory over Hibs would put second-placed Motherwell five points clear in second place with their closest rivals Ross County and Inverness meeting on Saturday.

And Ojamaa is looking to extend Motherwell's lead ahead of the the split with games against Dundee and St Mirren to follow.

Ojamaa, who has been called up to Estonia's squad for World Cup qualifiers against Holland and Andorra, said: "It's really important that in the last eight games we really go into the next gear and finish strongly because it's still very tight.

"After the split there are going to be some very tight games and I'm expecting a lot of draws, although you never know.

"But these three games before the split are very, very important.

"It would be great for us to stay unbeaten and pick up a couple of wins along the way that would put us in a really strong position."

Shaun Hutchinson and Chris Humphrey return for the clash.

Hutchinson was suspended for the goalless draw at Aberdeen while Humphrey missed out with a knock.

But defender Fraser Kerr is likely to miss out with a back injury.

Meanwhile, Hibernian defender Lewis Stevenson admits he needed very little persuading to sign a new two-year deal at the club.

The 25-year-old, who made his debut under Tony Mowbray in 2005, has penned fresh terms that will keep him at the Leith outfit until 2015.

Joining as a 14-year-old, Stevenson has become the longest-serving player at Easter Road - making 128 appearances and outlasting five managers.

Stevenson's versatility has been a huge boost to those he has played under over the years and the player insists he jumped at the chance to commit.

Speaking ahead of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League trip to Motherwell, Stevenson said: "It didn't take much persuading to sign. I'm delighted to stay longer at Hibs. It's been good.

"I've been signing one-year deals so it's nice to have a two-year deal. I have enjoyed it, I've had ups and downs but for the most part I've enjoyed it.

"The club have treated me well over the years so, as soon as I was offered the new contract, I took it.

"It's a big club so I don't see any reason why I should move."

Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon is set to welcome back Tim Clancy from a hamstring injury for the trip.

The full-back has not played since hobbling off during the defeat to Ross County at the end of January but featured for the Hibernian Under-20s against Dundee United on Tuesday.

Hibernian remain without defender Paul Hanlon due to his troublesome hip injury, but Fenlon is hoping he will be available after the approaching international break.

Provisional Motherwell squad: Randolph, Ramsden, Hutchinson, Hateley, Cummins, Francis-Angol, McHugh, Law, Humphrey, Daley, Lasley, Carswell, McFadden, Higdon, Ojamaa, Saunders, Hollis, Higginbotham.

Provisional Hibernian squad: Williams, McGivern, Clancy, McPake, Maybury, Stevenson, Cairney, Done, Robertson, Griffiths, Doyle, Deegan, Murdoch, Thomson, Claros, Taiwo, Forster, Handling, Harris.
