St Johnstone snap up Newcastle United defender Alex Kitchen
The 18-year-old has moved to McDiarmid Park on a two-year contract.
St Johnstone have completed the signing of Newcastle United defender Alex Kitchen.
The 18-year-old has moved to McDiarmid Park on a two-year deal after his youth contract with Newcastle expired in June.
Kitchen had been with the Magpies since he was nine years old and overcame a six-month spell on the sidelines last year with a split tendon.
The centre-back becomes manager Tommy Wright's eight signing of the summer. Gary McDonald, Gwion Edwards, David Wotherspoon, Brian Easton, Stevie Banks and Rory Fallon have all moved to Perth since the end of last season while midfield star Murray Davidson agreed a new deal when it appeared he was set to leave the club under freedom of contract.
