Danny Lennon interested in taking MLS forward on short-term deal
St Mirren are looking at Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dwyer in training.
St Mirren boss Danny Lennon is running the rule over Sporting Kansas City forward Dom Dwyer and may sign the forward in January.
The 22-year-old Englishman, is training with St Mirren in the hope of winning what would be a short-term deal in the SPL.
Lennon said that the deal had been several weeks in the making and that he had heard good advance reports about Dwyer.
"I became aware of Dom through an agent. Kansas City's season is over and there are one or two of the MLS players trying to get over (to Britain)," he said. "It has been on the back burner for a month to six weeks but Dom is over now.
"It would only be a short term one for us so we will have to wait and see but the reports we have had on him are positive."
Dwyer was number 16 pick for Sporting Kansas City in this years MLS SuperDraft but only had limited game time this season.
The forward was a youth player with Norwich City before moving to America where he played college football, being named Big East Offensive Player of the Year in 2011.
