St Mirren boss confident of keeping Nigel Hasselbaink and Jeroen Tesselaar
Danny Lennon hopes new terms can be agreed with the two, who can leave at the end of the season.
Danny Lennon is hopeful of retaining both Nigel Hasselbaink and Jeroen Tesselaar at St Mirren.
The pair are both out of contract at the end of the season, having impressed since signing one-year deals after arriving from Hamilton Academical and AZ Alkmaar respectively.
"Nigel's agent is in the country at the moment and we'll have talks with him," Lennon told the Daily Record.
"Everyone sees the ability that Nigel has, he's shown that at the beginning of the season and certainly in the latter part of the season.
"Nigel's exciting to watch, he's got a burst of pace but there's still a lot of development in him."
Hasselbaink has scored eight times in 39 appearances for the Buddies this campaign, last finding the net in the recent 4-4 draw with Dunfermline Athletic.
Tesselaar, who has played 38 times, has already verbally agreed terms to stay in Paisley and Lennon is hopeful matters can be concluded shortly.
"We're close with Jeroen and we've had a few rounds of talks with him," he added. "It would be good to get Nigel and Jeroen tied up."
