Kris Boyd unlikely to complete move to Greek side Panathinaikos
The former Rangers and Scotland striker is still to be released from his Portland Timbers deal.
Kris Boyd is unlikely to move to Greek side Panathinaikos on transfer deadline day.
The former Kilmarnock and Rangers striker is yet to be released from his contract with MLS side Portland Timbers.
Panathinaikos were keen to discuss a move for the former Scotland forward with the deadline in Greece falling at 8pm GMT.
And with issues still outstanding with his MLS deal and a lack of time tom complete the move the attacker’s representatives say the move won’t take place.
Boyd scored 127 goals for Rangers between 2006 and 2010 before joining Middlesbrough.
He spent a short spell with Nottingham Forest before moving to Turkey with Eskisehirspor.
