Scotland Under-21s hand first call-ups to Danny Handling and Jack Grimmer
Re-call for Callum Paterson but no place for Chelsea striker Islam Feruz for Netherlands match.
Chelsea’s Islam Feruz has dropped out of the Scotland Under-21 squad, as Hearts forward Callum Paterson earns a re-call for the clash with the Netherlands.
Paterson joins club mates Kevin McHattie, Jason Holt, Jack Hamilton and Jamie Walker in the squad but fellow Tynecastle prospects Brad McKay and David Smith drop out.
Coming into Billy Stark’s pool for the first time are Hibernian’s Danny Handling and Fulham full back Jack Grimmer.
Handling captained an Under-20 outfit for his country during the summer, while former Aberdeen starlet Grimmer has been capped at all age levels up to Under-19.
The European Under-21 Championship qualifier takes place at the Stadion De Goffert in Nijmegen on Tuesday, September, with a 6.30pm kick off.
