Chris Clark returns to Aberdeen
The midfielder turns down a move to Kilmarnock to sign for his former club, following his release from Plymouth Argyle.
Chris Clark has agreed to rejoin former club Aberdeen, turning down an offer from Kilmarnock in the process.
Clark left Plymouth Argyle in the summer following a three-year spell with the Pilgrims, having moved south from the Dons in 2008.
The midfielder came through the ranks at Pittodrie but was due to return to the Scottish Premier League with Killie, before Craig Brown swooped to bring him back to the north east.
“You could look high and low here and in England, and you would be pushed to get a better player at our level,” Brown told the Metro.
“I heard he was signing for Killie and had ruled out getting him. When we found out there was still a chance we could get him, we did what we could to make that happen. He is exactly what we have been looking for.”
Clark joins former Coventry City midfielder Isaac Osbourne, defender Youl Mawene and on-loan goalkeeper David Gonzalez in joining Brown’s team for the 2011/12 campaign.
