Shaun Maloney completes Wigan Athletic move
The Celtic forward has agreed terms on a three-year contract with the English Premier League club.
Shaun Maloney has completed a £850,000 move from Celtic to Wigan Athletic, signing a three-year deal.
The forward, who was in his second spell with the Parkhead club, agreed terms and underwent a medical with the English Premier League side on transfer deadline day.
Maloney, 28, will now have a second stint in the English top flight, having spent just over a year with Aston Villa three years ago.
Maloney started his career with Celtic, making his debut in 2001 and going on to make 140 appearances. A move to Aston Villa then followed in 2007 but, a year later, he returned to Parkhead.
His second spell at the club has seen him play 76 times, scoring 15 goals, but he has failed to hold down a regular spot in Neil Lennon’s first team selection.
