Celtic striker Mohamed Bangura out for the season
A knee injury will sideline the Sierra Leone international for between three and four months.
Celtic striker Mohamed Bangura has been ruled out for up to 16 weeks because of a knee injury.
The former AIK player moved to Celtic in the summer but has seen his career in Glasgow interrupted by medical problems.
Bangura, 22, has made 14 appearances, only two of which were from the start. He is still to open his account for Neil Lennon’s side.
His manager, Neil Lennon, said of the injury: "He had a scan and it revealed he needed surgery. The surgery was a success and he is coming back up today.
"But he is going to be out for 12-16 weeks. It's unfortunate for him.
"It was possibly the reason why he hasn't recaptured his form. Maybe it was hampering him a bit."
