*STV Sport *understands midfielder Edwin De Graaf will join Eredivisie side SBV Excelsior on loan for the remainder of this season.
The 30-year old was brought to Easter Road by John Hughes in June 2010 but has fallen out of favour with new manager Colin Calderwood.
De Graaf began his career with RBC Roosendaal, before enjoying short spells with Feyenoord and NAC Breda.
The Dutchman marked his arrival in Scotland with two goals on his home debut as Hibs fell to a 3-2 defeat against Europa League opponents NK Maribor.
However, De Graaf has struggled to find his way into Calderwood’s plans this season and will now continue his career in his homeland after sealing a loan deal with Excelsior, who sit 16th in the Eredivisie.
Hibernian have also confirmed the departure of Morocaan playmaker Merouane Zemmama, who has signed for English Championship side Middlesborough.
