Seymour urges Glasgow Warriors to tie down other stars
The Scotland international hopes the club can persuade Alex Dunbar and Josh Strauss to stay.
Tommy Seymour hopes other Glasgow Warriors stars will follow his lead and commit their futures to the club, insisting retaining the core of their squad is as vital as new signings.
The Guinness PRO12's top try scorer has signed a new two-year contract to stay at Scotstoun along with Tim Swinson.
Now the winger wants attention to turn to keeping hold of the likes of Josh Strauss and Alex Dunbar.
He said: "It's important when you're weighing up things, you want to see a club that is ambitious and wants to bring in talent but the main thing is keeping the guys who have made the club successful over the previous years.
"It's as or for me more important to see the commitment from a club to keep the guys who have done so well for it in the past."
Seymour's form for club and country has put the 28-year-old in contention for a spot in the British and Irish Lions squad for their tour of New Zealand but he says diverting his focus away from his immediate priorities would be a waste of energy.
